LAUNCH PARTY!!

We had an incredible time last Tuesday welcoming our inaugural group into the Young Eco-Illustrators Guild!

Nineteen of our published scientific illustrators were able to make it throughout the evening to autograph their work, share bird facts, mingle with the other artists and receive their certificate! 🖋️

Thank you to everyone that came out and made this night so amazing! Huge thanks to Evan and the CFBO volunteers, Vincent and Oana for the photos of the night and all the parents and community members that made our guild feel so special!

Huge thank you to Jill for hosting us at Wild Bird & Garden, the perfect backdrop for a bird field guide launch! Field guides are available at Wild Bird & Garden while supplies last! They make great stocking stuffers for any bird lover in your life!

MEET A TREE!

It wouldn’t be the ‘Year of the Tree’ without Meet a Tree!! Nature Explorers are guided to a tree while blindfolded. When they feel ready they’re guided back to the circle, the blindfold is removed and they then try to find their tree!

Pender County Campfire cooking!

Pathfinders will meet one Friday a month where they’ll learn about a country, it’s flora & fauna and cook from that region over the fire! Check out what previous participants had to say:

Today is #givingtuesday!!! Help us reach our goal of $5,000 in tuition assistance for the 26/27 program year! Here are four ways you can give to our support fund:

Suite 200, Pensacola, FL 32502 (12% fiscal sponsor fee applies) visit the ‘donate’ page of our website for pay-by-card tax deductible option.

2. Venmo @threepinesproject please include ‘3P Scholarship fund’ in note. (3% of donation goes to processing fee, donation is NOT tax-deductible)

3. Items: Gear Lending Library-donate gently used gear (sizes 10-14+ of greatest need, rain gear especially) or Wish list: purchase items from our wish list,

•5th- First auto draft for Nature Explorers and Wanderers that chose the payment plan

•15th through Jan. 2nd- Winter Break for Nature Explorers

•18th- Winter Solstice Celebration: make a lantern and join us for a short night hike at Long Leaf Park (meet by the pond)

•22nd & 23rd Winter Mini: 9am-1pm for ages 6-12 (only 3 spots left)!

THIS TUESDAY!! Kid-made bird field guides launch!

Support 3P, CFBO and young local naturalists while learning about southeastern NC birds!! 3P Nature Explorers illustrated and recorded facts about local bird species creating this first-ever locally made bird field guide!

Proceeds from the field guide go towards 3P’s support fund and Cape Fear Bird Observatory.

Launch Party:
•When- Tuesday, December 2nd from 5:15-7:15
•Where- Wild Bird & Garden in Wilmington
•Who-all are welcome to meet the young eco-illustrators
•Cost- free to attend, suggested donation of $8 for a field guide! One night, in-store discount for those that purchase a field guide!
